Air : Hassan does not have an airport. The nearest airport is Bangalore, from where one can take flights to major destinations in India like Delhi, Calcutta, and Mumbai. One can also take connecting flights to destinations abroad from Bangalore.
Rail : Hassan is connected to Bangalore, Mysore, and Mangalore by regular trains. The railway station is around 2 km east of town.
Road : Hassan is linked with Belur, Halebid, Shravanbelgola, Bangalore and Mysore by road. We would provide you all India tourist permit vehicles for the local transportations and also for the intercity drives too.

-the legendary places for sculptures and ancient temples.
Hoysalas brought world wide acclaim to the district through their unique style of temple
architecture. The place is renowned for its Chennakeshava temple, one of the finest examples of
workmanship. The temple was consecrated by the famous Hoysala king Vishnuvardhana in 1116 AD.
The intricate carvings at the temples and sculptures of the district are the astounding testimonies to the
utmost crest of sculpting skills that human race has ever achieved.
The carved brass metal wares from Shravanabelegola, Coir products from Harsikere are
well known cluster activities in the region. The district also having favoured atmosphere for
development of agri processing and Hardware /IT/ITES sectors.
 
Introduction Hassan
Located in southern eastern part of Karnataka and 194 Kms away from the state capital Bengaluru.
Spread across 8 Talukas-Alur, Arkalgud, Arsikere, Belur, channarayapatna, Hassan, H.N. Pura and
Sakleshpur.
Rich producer of spices, cardamoms, coconuts and coffee.
District lies partly in the ‘malnad’ tract and partly in the southern plains region.
Was under the reign of Mouryas of North in the Third BC and later ruled by great kingdoms of
Kadambas, Chalukyas, Gangas, Hoysalas and Vijayanagar empire.
An ancient dynasty ‘Hoysalas’ imbibed the art of making temples and sculptures in the region and
contributed in a renowned tourist place.

The district is acknowledged as an Industrial Growth Centre along with 4 developed industrial areas
and 4 Special Economic Zones.

About Hassan
Hassan is a city and district headquarters of Hassan district in the Indian state of Karnataka. The town is situated 934 mts above sea level with fine weather similar to Bangalore. The town is home to the Master Control Facility of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). It was founded in the 11th century, by Channa Krishnappa Naik, a Palegar. The place is called Hassan after the Goddess "Haasanamba", the goddess and presiding deity of the town.[citation needed] It can be called the temple-architectural capital of Karnataka.
