evening visit The rock garden
- The work of one man –
Shri. Nek Chand, a humble road
inspector who had no formal
training in design, architecture,
or landscape planning. This
fantasy garden has been created
entirely out of discarded city
debris, industrial waste and
natural fossil rocks personally
collected by Shri. Nek Chand.
This evening rejuvenate at the
Sukhna Lake with its uncanny
freshness. Go shopping at Sector
22-D, Bargain, bargain and bargain!.

evening we go for a short tour
Le Corbusier’s Chandigarh
City where we drive past…
The Capitol Complex, The Legislative
Assembly, The High Court, The
Secretariat and Punjab University.
Post dinner we leave for Dharamshala
- the place lies between the
gentle Shivalik Hills and the
foothills of the mighty Dhauladhars.
This place is a heady mix of
culture, religion, history and
beauty. O/N Journey.
DHARAMSHALA / MCLEODGANJ –
On arrival transfer and check
into the camp site in Gallu.
After freshen up our trek starts
for Triund (6 kms / 3 to 4 hrs),
situated at an altitude of 2900
meters. It is a beautiful walk
through mixed forests of evdar,
oak & rhododendron. Triund
is situated on a ridge with
a beautiful view of whole kangra
valley in one side and dhauladhar
mountain range on the other.
O/N rest house/ tents.
TRIUND – LAKA GOT (snow
line) /3350 meters
a relaxed start, after breakfast
to Laka Got, the trek covers
4 kms (one way, 2 – 3
hrs), distance along glacial
moraines. Lake got situated
at the snout of a small glacier,
is the base camp for the shepherds.
The small glacier is called
snow-line. Lunch & snow
line and return to Triund. O/N
rest house/ tents.
TRIUND - MCLEODGANJ
Take the same route
on the way back or follow the
grassy ridge which leads to Bhagsu
Nag Temple, after crossing a small
waterfall on the way. Mcleodganj
is only 1.5 kms from Bhaksu Nag.
